The OFJ, school of excellence

Since 1982, the National Youth Orchestra of France (OFJ) gives every year the opportunity of working in real professional conditions under the baton of a world-renowned conductor to hundred students coming from National and Regional music schools all over the country. Recruited on audition throughout France, musicians have the opportunity to participate in three annual symphonic sessions, including one in Mozart formation.

In recent years, the OFJ has broadened its mission to adapt to the changes of the profession of orchestral musician, notably through a outreach training to give musicians the tools they need to let the classical music being accessible to all audiences.

 Since 2017, the OFJ
is in residence in the Haut-de-France region.
